Find Relief with Rocwell
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in both the hemp and marijuana plants. When absorbed into the body, it interacts with your endocannabinoid system, which regulates bodily functions and how we think, feel and react.
Due to prior federal restrictions on research, much is still being learned about the vast therapeutic benefits of CBD, but the latest advances are promising. In 2018, the first CBD-based drug was approved by the FDA for the treatment of epilepsy, and CBD research is ongoing at major educational institutions and pharmaceutical companies across the U.S. While CBD is frequently used as an alternative to prescription and over-the-counter pain relievers, early studies even show that it may be effective in the treatment of opioid addiction and substance abuse.
Without sufficient high-quality evidence in human studies we can’t pinpoint effective doses (or efficacy), and because CBD is currently is mostly available as an unregulated supplement, it’s difficult to know exactly what you are getting. If you decide to try CBD, talk with your doctor — if for no other reason than to make sure it won’t affect other medications you are taking.
The Benefits of CBD
As awareness of the efficacy of CBD grows, an increasing number of adults have found it useful in treating a broad range of symptoms. The most common is chronic pain. While harmful and costly prescription pain relievers have until now been the only option, many sufferers have turned to CBD as a highly effective alternative without the harmful and often debilitating effects of pharmaceutical drugs. And because CBD is non-psychoactive, it can be taken without concern for the “high” associated with marijuana and THC. Rocwell is not making claims, we are simply stating what we have heard from our customers or through the growing CBD industry.
Relief
While the full therapeutic benefits of CBD are just beginning to be understood, its effect on the endocannabinoid system in the body suggests it helps in areas I can’t state directly on my website because then I would be making claims which is against FDA’s guidance on supplements. However, if you suffer from any of the items below, I recommend doing your own research on CBD and the items listed. You can also contact us directly and we will point you to the research that’s been conducted on CBD and your area of interest.
- anxiety
- addiction
- diabetes
- fibromyalgia
- inflammation
- insomnia

Fortunately for our furry friends, the benefits extend to the animal kingdom.

What is hemp extract? Does it contain THC?
Hemp extract is a dietary supplement and an excellent source of nutrients that can be safely consumed as part of a daily diet. It shouldn’t be confused with “cannabis oil,” which usually refers to oil that contains a high percentage of THC.
Hemp extract is rich in natural cannabinoids and is not psychoactive – meaning that it doesn’t cause a “high.” Our extract is derived from organic, U.S.-grown, industrial-grade hemp, which is used for a range of purposes and categorized as having less than .3% THC.
-
How does Rocwell produce its hemp extract?
The process starts with growing ultra-premium, USDA organic hemp on a family-owned farm in Colorado. The hemp is hand-harvested and delivered to a nearby facility, where experts extract and distill active ingredients in a process known as “supercritical CO2 extraction.” (See below for more on that term.) Our team then combines the extracted hemp oil with other ingredients, like coconut oil and Lipoderm, to create our oils, capsules and creams.
-
Who does the extraction for your product?
One partner does all of the extractions for our products. Rocwell will NEVER source our oil from another producer because we can’t guarantee the quality.
-
Where is your hemp grown and does it matter?
Where hemp is grown is just as important as how it’s grown. Our hemp is grown in Colorado on an organic farm, free from pesticides and soil toxins. By contrast, a great deal of hemp used in other CBD products comes from Asia, and is grown in ground poisoned with heavy metals. At Rocwell, we will ALWAYS use domestic, organically grown hemp.
-
What is hemp “extract” anyway?
Hemp extract is the oil derived from a high-resin Cannabis sativa L. plant, which contains less than .3% THC. To get the oil, we use a process known as “supercritical CO2 extraction.” Supercritical CO2 – a form of carbon dioxide – is used for many extracts. When this liquid CO2 is heated with increased pressure, it carries the properties of both a liquid and a gas. This helps it permeate the hemp and extract the plant’s oil. We prefer this method because it’s currently the only solvent-free method of extraction available, and it produces a pure, clean product.
Rocwell hemp oil is derived from high quality Cannabis sativa L. plants that contain less than 0.3% THC.

Product Use and Storage

How do I know what strength oil to take?
There are a wide variety of factors that can influence what strength oil will work best for you. We suggest that you purchase the 600 mg bottle and then use our graduated droppers to determine what strength best suits your needs. As the middle strength option, it’s easy to adjust the dosage by taking a little more or a little less, depending on your response.
-
What are the benefits of your Rocwell Premium Hemp CBD Cream?
When applied topically, our cream can provide site-specific relief while also providing the systemic benefits of CBD. The transdermal effects of cream ensure absorption, and we’ve had great success using it for muscle and joint pain, skin irritation, sunburn, and even bug bites.
-
How should I store my hemp oil?
For maximum longevity, store your Rocwell oil in a cool dark place. (But don’t worry: Even in direct sunlight over a two-year period, it will only degrade about 5 percent.)
-
My oil has changed color. Is it still okay to use?
Since we don’t use any preservatives, it’s completely normal for our hemp oil to change color. This does not impact the efficacy of the oil.
-
Are Rocwell products safe to use on pets?
